Key Skills
- Good experience in metal casting – aluminium, bronze, pewter.
- Welding skills – mostly MIG on steel.
- Mould making skills in sand moulds, wax-loss process, and silicone investment mould making. Also plaster mould making for ceramic slip production.
- Intermediate level with Rhinoceros 5, and some capabilities with Illustrator CC.
- Some experience of 3D printing and 3D printing Software using Ultimakers and Makerbots.
- Can use a laser cutter and can prepare files for laser cutting.
- Some experience of using Arduino micro-controllers.
- Adept at using most standard wood and metal workshop machinery.
- Enamelling with copper and steel.
- Hand working steel section and sheet and aluminium sheet.
